Keohane Transatlantic Print
The Transatlantic range of jerseys were designed based on an archive image of the 1931 Kerry team training aboard the SS St Louis passenger ship as they crossed the Atlantic to New York City to play a series of post-season exhibition games.
The team fully togged out, perform a range of physical exercises on the ship’s deck watched by team management and fellow passengers. The original image can be found on the late Weeshie Fogarty’s Terrace Talk website which has been a source of inspiration for the creation of Keohane Athletic Club.
The print jersey comes in an ocean blue colour and features an abstract print of the St Louis passenger ship which carried Kerry and Irish people on their transatlantic voyages throughout the 1930s.
